tis the season of being

But really and truly, every day of our lives we can be grateful for something whether small or great, right?

I am one super-dooper abundantly thankful lady for gobs and gobs of reasons!

Gobs. . . now what does that bring to mind. . . ? . . .

Oh, yes.  Gobs of whip cream dollops on pumpkin pie!!!

Definitely something I am VERY grateful for, I confess!

Martha at the beach

Being gorgeous can be a tough job, especially with beach hair on summer days, but someone's gotta do it.

I love relaxing days by the shore, frolicking and scampering in the cool waters under the vibrant blue sky and sweltering hot sun.

Did i just say 'frolicking and scampering'?  I crack myself up.
I hardly leave my beach chair except to reach over and grab some yummy treat from my beach bag, for crying out loud.

Just cuz they're still crazy in love, this wacky couple asked me to share this sweet snapshot of their life with you today!

Kendra

Hi, I'm Kendra.  This here is me starting out as a sketch and a doodle.  I think that's supposed to be a hint of one of my loving children behind me, burying me in this sand heap, down by the water at the beach.  Sure must be someone's idea of fun.  Not sure it's my way of spelling out a good time, though.

Wait.  I have children?

Guess I should be grateful for cool nourishment while I figure a way to climb out of this sand dune.
Or this sketch!
And here I am, all finished up and pretty.  Pretty refreshed with my super-sized iced caramel, cinnamon and mocha latte (not any of that decaf or non-fat nonsense).
Love the way my hair swings in the breeze, too.  I am, after all, such a carefree sort of girl.
And, so thankful I can walk about freely while I sip, and not up to my neck in that gritty sand at the beach.
No telling how much sand I would've had to drink!

It's a beautiful day, so off on my walk now.... cheers to you, and hope your Spring has sprung for you!

Olive Says Hi

Hi! I'm Olive and I love letting family, friends and neighbors know I care about them every chance I get.  I can be both jumping-for-joy-wacky, or reserved, subdued and serene.  You just never know what each day will bring.   Gotta be ready for it.

What else is there to know about me? I believe life's too short to wear boring clothes (and shoes), and also too short to hold back and not express how much people mean to you. . .  so I guess you could say I'm a bit of a sentimental fool.  I won't deny it.  I can't.  My name is Olive, and Olive You.  Happy Heart Day.

H-e-e-e-e-e-ere's Sherry!

Hey there.  So it's MY turn to blog and wouldn't you know it, but I just got home from a day of shopping and I really have to wonder . . . Did ALL the slowest, craziest drivers on the planet get the memo to make sure to drive right in front of me!?! Oh, for crying in a bucket. JEEPERS CREEPERS!

Yeah, I know my name is Sherry - I bet you think I should be called Cheery, don't you?  Ha! Well, I'm trying.  You see my little keychain?  That pretty pink heart and those sweet colors aren't there by chance.
A happy heart + happy colors = my reminders to stop and think and pray.  To breathe in and out slowly and, of course, to smile.  Just like that monstrous blossom on my head.  You know, the one I wear to portray my undying love for humanity?

Well, time for tea!  Thanks for listening to me rant and rave.  Have fun out there, and don't let those lunatics, who sometimes refer to themselves as people, get to you.  (I certainly don't.)

We are SO glad you are here! and I am jumping for joy to finally have our own blog where we all can just hang out and be ourselves!  I am Isabel and what do I love to do? Make jewelry, read other blogs, hug my dog and drink lots of hot, strong coffee!  Lots.
Oh, and my favorite saying is, "Your attitude will never change your circumstances, but your attitude will completely change your circumstances!"  WhooHoo!

And just remember . . .
